Information that stays on your device
The following data is created and stored locally on your phone and is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- The PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and image files you choose to convert.
- The converted output files (saved to your
Downloadsfolder and listed inside the App's file browser). - App preferences such as the selected theme, sort order and recent conversions list, stored in Android DataStore and a local Room database.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect or process any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address.
- Account credentials — the App has no sign-in.
- The contents of your documents.
- Precise GPS location.
- Contacts, calendar, microphone or camera data.
- Analytics, crash reports or behavioural telemetry that identify you — we do not integrate Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Mixpanel or any similar SDK.
Permissions we request
The App requests the following Android permissions. Each is used solely for the purpose described — none feed any data collection pipeline.
Advertising — Google AdMob
To keep PDF Converter Pro free, we display advertisements served by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC and its subsidiaries ("Google"). Five ad formats are used: app-open, banner, interstitial, native and rewarded.
When an ad is requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and its certified partners may process:
- your device's Advertising ID (AAID), which you can reset or delete in Settings → Google → Ads;
- coarse, IP-derived location, language, device model, OS version and app version;
- ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, video completions);
- a pseudonymous device identifier used for anti-fraud and frequency capping when you have consented.
Google uses this information to select, deliver, measure and combat fraud in the ads you see. Google's processing is governed by its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. The current list of Google's certified advertising partners is published at support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
Consent management (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR before any non-strictly-necessary identifier is processed by AdMob or its partners. You can:
- accept all purposes,
- reject non-essential purposes (you will then see non-personalised ads), or
- manage purposes and partners individually.
You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the App.
Your rights
Because we do not directly collect personal information, most data-subject requests should be directed to Google. We will, however, support you in exercising the following rights as far as our role allows:
- EEA / UK / Swiss residents (GDPR / UK GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
- California residents (CCPA / CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Use the in-app consent dialog to opt out of cross-context behavioural advertising.
- All users: reset or delete your Android Advertising ID in your device settings to disconnect your ad profile from the App.
To make a request, write to contact@everybitt.site. We respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
PDF Converter Pro is a productivity tool intended for general
audiences aged 13 and above. The App is not directed
at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them. Ads are requested with Google's
setMaxAdContentRating("T") (teen) and
tagForChildDirectedTreatment(false) settings.
If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can delete it.
Data security and retention
All conversion happens locally; we have no servers that hold your documents. Locally-stored converted files remain on your device until you delete them.
Anonymous advertising signals processed by Google are retained according to Google's own retention policies. We recommend using device security features such as screen locks and full-disk encryption to protect your files.
International data transfers
Where ads are served by Google, your data may be processed in countries outside your own (including the United States) under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards described in its policy. We do not transfer any data ourselves because we do not collect any.
Changes to this Policy
We will revise this Policy whenever we change the data we process, publish a new app version with new SDKs, or to reflect legal updates. The Last updated date at the top of this page always shows the current revision. Material changes will be announced inside the App.
